Super Bowl Party to Kick Start Wolves Season
Late on Sunday February 1st, the New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers will kick off the most hyped game in the American sporting calendar, Super Bowl XXXVIII at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas

Football fans across the world will tune in to witness two strong, evenly matched teams play pure football for 60 minutes. Nowhere will the game be celebrated as much as in Sportsters Bar and Diner in Edinburgh's Market Street.
Here, the Edinburgh Wolves will host their Super Bowl party with Wolves players and fans' enjoying what is likely to be a hard fought match between two evenly matched teams. The action begins at 11pm with the venue licensed until 3am, close to the conclusion of the game.
Neither the Patriots and Panthers has a superstar player in the mould of Joe Montana, Brett Favre or Emmitt Smith, however, they both have exceedingly tough defenses to score on and squeeze enough points to win.
Wolves Head Coach Pete Laird draws a parallel between the two competing teams and the Edinburgh based outfit. "Both these teams have got this far through hard work, determination and drive, which are the three things we drill into our players". He continues, "this should be an exciting and close game that could come right down to the final seconds - something Carolina has specialised in this year, I hope the Wolves don't need to rely on final second wins, I don't think my nerves would stand that!".
The Wolves kick off season 2004 in early April and 'Super Bowl Sunday' marks their return to practice. Coach Laird commented, "It will be great to be back on the training field, we return a much more experienced squad and have high hopes for a successful season".

Sportsters can show any sporting event and have a capacity of 1800 for games on the largest screens in Edinburgh. In addition, the venue has a 3.00am license every night to show late kickoff sporting events.
