And 24 hours later, at nearby Forthbank Stadium, tryouts for the Great Britain team will take place for all Scottish youth and senior players.
Keynote speakers at the convention include Riq Ayub, the National Programme Director of the British American Football Association, Jim Messenger, the president of the British American Football Coaches Association and Simon Newnham, head coach of the Great Britain youth team.
McCusker said: "It's an important day for coaches to pick up invaluable tips and advice from the leading coaches in the British game. Equally as important is the opportunity for Scottish coaches to show our strength within the BAFA.
"There is a fantastic list of speakers and topics and the convention will help broaden the knowledge base of even the most experienced British football coach. I'd urge all coaches from all levels to attend."
Registration, which costs £2, is from 9-10am and the convention is expected to last until 5pm. Tea and coffee will be served in the afternoon.
The programme of speakers and topics is as follows:
Riq Ayub, BAFA National Programme Director - GB National Programme, 2004

McCusker added: "Head coaches from the youth and senior GB Lions team will be in attendance and there it will be a great learning experience for players.
"Even if the some players do not think they have a shot at making the GB Lions roster I'd still advise attending because it's a terrific opportunity for them to get a first class coaching clinic under their belt.
"Many of the Scotland Youth coaching staff will also be coaching on the day. It's the ideal way to start preparation for the new season."
