An Introduction : The Scottish Gridiron Association
The Scottish Gridiron Association was set up in the 1990's to represent the Scottish teams and to run a Scottish League of American Football. Over time as the grassroots of the sports faded across the UK the SGA's role changed to become one of a representative body for Scottish American Football Teams. The SGA is currently has a seat on the board of the British American Football Association where it provides a voice for it's members and advises on the impact of decisions on the Scottish Football landscape which has it's unique local issues. SGA membership is normally on a team basis however independent individuals can be non voting members of the Association. The Scottish Claymores have entrusted their name, logo and website to the SGA to be used on a non profit making basis for the good of the grassroots of the game in Scotland. To that end the SGA have now taken over the Claymores.com website and will be using it to bring you news from around the sport in Scotland and around the World when there's a Scottish Angle. The SGA will also be arranging the voting for the Claymores 2006 Hall of Fame induction which will be a bumper year following missing last years 2005 inductions. More details for the voting will be available later in the year as part of a Worldbowl 96 + 10 Celebrations.
