Fans will be invited to select FOUR players from previous Claymores teams up until and including the 2002 season to join the 16 current Hall of Fame members who include Super Bowl winners Aaron Stecker and George Coghill, former head coach Jim Criner and fan favourites such as Dante Hall, Siran Stacy, Yo Murphy and Marco Rivera as well as new inductees Wilson and Tomsula.

Claymores General Manager STEVE LIVINGSTONE, said: "Traditionally, we've asked fans to nominate two of their favourites into the Hall of Fame each year, however, to celebrate 10 Seasons we want to increase our Hall of Fame to 20 members and will be looking for the fans to nominate four out of six nominated players to make it into the Hall.

"We're also delighted to announce the inclusion of former Claymores General Manager Will Wilson and defensive line coach Jim Tomsula to our Hall of Fame.

"Will did an incredible job turning the team's fortunes around off the field from 1998 to 2000 and was instrumental in our successful move to Glasgow. Our Hall of Fame committee felt his honorary inclusion has been somewhat overlooked and long overdue.

"Jim Tomsula's contribution to the Claymores during five seasons with the club was immense and I know the fans will be delighted to hear about his automatic entry."

Four players return from previous nominations and include 1996 kicker PAUL McCALLUM and team-mate, safety JAMES FULLER. Oakland Raiders tackle BARRY SIMS, who played in the Super Bowl in 2003, is also nominated as a 1999 Claymores stalwart, as is cornerback DUANE HAWTHORNE, who helped lead the team to World Bowl in 2000.

Joining them on the ballot for the first time are 2002 running back HERBERT GOODMAN, who still holds a number of Claymores rushing records, and 2002 national defensive tackle TOM TOVO.

Since 1999, thousands of Claymores fans across the world have voted on www.claymores.co.uk to select the Hall of Fame stars. Former Claymores players become eligible for the Hall of Fame when they have not played for the Claymores for at least two seasons.

The Claymores Hall of Fame committee then nominate the players to join those who were unsuccessful in gaining admission to the Hall of Fame the previous year, with the players receiving most votes being elected. Nominated candidates stay on the voting list for up to three years before dropping off.

Fans are asked to complete their nominations by October 25, 2004. The six new members of the Hall of Fame will be announced in the coming weeks.
