Tynes hits 50 yard kick in Chiefs debut

The former Claymores kicker, who played in Scotland during the 2002 NFL Europe League season nailed the 50-yard field foal at the start of the third quarter. The 26-year-old also converted three Point After Touchdown kicks following a hat-trick of scores from Chiefs running back Priest Holmes.
Another former Claymore, Dante Hall, had a quiet day contributing two catches for 17 yards, one kick off return for 17 yards and one punt return for 26 yards for the Chiefs in the loss.
Broncos running back Quentin Griffen matched Holmes hat-trick and two Jason Elam field goals for Denver and a decisive two-yard touchdown pass from Jake Plummer to Patrick Hape proved the difference.
Claymores 2002 kick returner and wide receiver J.J. MOSES had a great opening day playing for the Houston Texans returning six kick offs for 154 yards, a long of 49 yards and two punts for 25 yards. But J.J. could not help the Texans from dropping to a shock 27-20 home defeat to the visiting San Diego Chargers.
In New York, Claymores 2003 offensive guard BRANDON MOORE started for the Jets helping them to a 31-24 opening weekend victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Claymores World Bowl 2000 MVP AARON STECKER saw action for the New Orleans Saints but could not help them go down 21-7 to the Seattle Seahawks.
However, the news was better for Claymores 2002 cornerback TODD FRANZ who saw action in the Washington Redskins 16-10 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who featured Claymores 2004 defensive tackle DAMIEN GREGORY who recorded one tackle for the Bucs in the loss.
Oakland Raiders, featuring Claymores 1999 star offensive linemen BARRY SIMS lost 24-21 to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
JOE ANDRUZZI helped his New England Patriots open up their defence of their NFL title with a 27-24 win over the Indianapolis Colts to get the new season underway on Thursday.
